Upcoming Classes

Yin is a slow-paced practice that can support your body in releasing tension built up through more dynamic paced yoga classes or gym workouts. Yin strengthens the muscle of the mind as you will be expertly guided to find your healthy point of resistance within each asana (yoga posture) and to find a place of stillness and peace both physically and mentally. Yin yoga is focused on applying moderate stress to the connective tissues – tendons, fascia, and ligaments – with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Most stretches and poses are mat based and tend to be held for longer periods of time. This meditative approach to yoga helps cultivate awareness of one’s inner stillness.
Slow Flow is a meditative practice with emphasis on breath and body connection. You will practice about half the number of poses you might practice in a Flow class. The pace is steady and peaceful creating a state of calm in body and mind. We hold poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose rather than moving to each breath. Slow Flow gives you space to explore each movement and moment and have time to adjust your body within the asana (yoga posture), and to breathe in a way that encourages a steady pace and energises the body and mind. Beginners are welcome and will be encouraged to pace themselves and focus on mastering the basic poses before moving onto the more complex poses.
